In The Name Of Allah, The Most Beneficent And Merciful
Section   1
1 praise be to Allah who Revealed to His Devotee a Book with no crookedness
2 but straight, to warn of severe punishment and good news from Him. and reward for the Righteous Believers
3 to live forever
4 furthermore to warn those who say “Allah has got a Son”
5 neither they nor their fathers had any such knowledge; dreadful lie’s what their mouths say!
6 you will kill yourself grieving over their footsteps for not believing this statement
7 whatever We’ve made on Earth is a glittering show to test who’s best in conduct
8 and lo! We shall make its soil dry and barren
9 or do you think the Companions of the Cave and the engraving were wonders of Our Sign’s?
10 when the youths fled to the cave and said “O’ Lord give mercy on us and You provide for us a right way”
11 so We sealed their hearing in the Cave for a number of Years
12 then We roused them in order to test which of the  Two  groups was best at calculating the Year’s they’d spent
Section  2
13 We relate to you a true story! these youths believed in their Lord and We increased them in Guidance
14 We strengthen their Hearts, they stood up and said “our Lord is Lord of Heavens and Earth we shall not call any God besides Him for that will amount to excesses”
15 “our people chose to worship God’s other than Him, with no proof isn’t those who lie against Allah grossly mistaken?”
16 when you reject the worshippers of other things besides Allah and return to the cave your Lord will shower His Mercy on you with comfort and ease
17 they would’ve seen the Sun rising moving away to the right from their cave and upon setting turning away from them to the left while they lay in the  midst.  it’s a Sign of Allah. the rightly guided are guided by Him.  and those whom He forgets, you won’t find a guiding friend for them
  Section 3
18 you would’ve thought they were awake while they slept. We turned them to their right and left. their dog stretched his Two  fore legs at the entrance. if you had seen them you would’ve fled shocked in fright
19 than We woke them so that they can question each other. one said “how long have you been” they said “a Day or so” another said “Lord knows best…. now send one of you with this silver coin to the City: see what food he can get. be careful and polite, don’t let anyone know about you
20 “if they find out they will stone you or force you back to their religion and you won’t prosper”
21 this is how We make them known to people, so that they realise Allah’s promise regarding the Hour is true. the people disputed about their case among themselves. some said “build a building  over them their Lord knows them best” those who oversaw their affairs said “we’ll construct a worship place over them”
22 some say they were Three the Fourth was a dog. others say Five and Sixth was the dog, only guessing. or Seven and the Eight was the dog. you say “only Lord knows how many and non knew except a few therefore don’t discuss  without proof nor consult them regarding these people
  Section   4
23 don’t say things like “i will do this tomorrow”
24 without adding “if Allah wills” and if you forget than say “hope my Lord will guide me closer to the right path”
25 and they stayed in the cave for Three hundred and  Nine Years
26 say “only Allah knows how long” believe in Him who knows the secrets of Heavens and Earth. how clearly He sees and hears! they haven’t any protector like Him nor does He shares His Command with anyone
27 recite His Book revealed to you, none can change His words. nor will you find refuge besides Him
28 include yourself with persons who remember the Lord Morning and Evening, seeking His face and don’t let your eyes overlook them desiring Life of this World nor follow those whose Hearts We’ve permitted to neglect Our remembrance and follow their own lust and whose case are lost
29 say “Truth is from your Lord” whether you believe it or not. and for wrongdoers We’ve prepared high flames surrounding like walls and if they ask for help they will be given Water like boiling oil scalding their Faces a dreadful drink. and an ill resting place
30 as for the Believers their reward for doing good will never be lost
31 for them is Garden of Eternity with rivers flowing beneath. wearing bracelets of Gold and green garments of fine Silk and Gold brocade. reclining on raised Throne, a blessed reward and beautiful resting place!
Section  5
32 tell them story of the Two Men. to one We had given  Two Garden of grapes surrounded by Date Palm with cultivated fields in their midst
33 each garden’s full of Fruits unfailing. and in its midst We caused a gushing river
34 he boasted to friends “i am richer than you and a more Powerful  person”
35 and went to his Garden in unjust state saying “this will never perish”
36 “nor will the Hour ever come and if i am returned to my Lord i will surely find something better in exchange”
37 his friend said while arguing “you disbelieve in Allah who created you from dust and then a sperm drop and made you a Man?”
38 “as for me He is Allah my Lord, i don’t join partners to Him”
39 “why didn’t you say when you entered the Garden that ‘it’s Allah’s will the all Powerful, if you see me less than you in wealth and Children”
40 “maybe Allah may give me something better and might send thunderbolt making your Garden flat hillside”
41 or the Water in your Garden disappear underground and you cannot find it
42  so Allah did exactly this. the Man wrung his Hands counting his losses and saying “wish i hadn’t joined partners to my Lord”
43 he had no people who could help or save him from Allah
44 your protection comes from Allah the true God giving best reward and success
Section 6
45 give them examples of Life of this World.  when We send Rain from the Sky the vegetation absorbs it but soon becomes dry and scattered by the Wind. it’s Allah who prevails over all
46 wealth and Children are ornaments of this World’s Life but good deeds are better in Allah’s sight for reward and hope
47 one Day We shall remove the Mountains and you’ll see a leveled Earth and We’ll gather them together, leaving non out
48 assemble before Allah in ranks – now you have come to Us the way We created you first. and you thought We will not keep Our commitment to meet you
49 when the Book is placed in front of you, the Sinners will cry out in terror “what kind of Book this is which does not leave out anything small or big” to none will your Lord be unjust
  Section 7
50 We said to the Angels “bow down to Adam” all did except Iblis he was of the Jinn he refused the Lords command. will you then take him and his offspring as friends instead of Me? they are your enemies! what an exchange for Evildoers
51 I didn’t call them to see the Creation of Heaven and Earth nor their own Creations nor do I take misleaders as helpers
52 the Day when He’ll say “call the partners you ascribe to Me” but when they call and won’t get reply than We’ll create a barrier between them
  Section 8
53 the guilty will realise they are about to fall into the Fire with no escape
54 everything is explained in the Quran for people’s benefit but Mankind mostly argue
55 what is holding Mankind from believing after receiving Guidance or asking forgiveness from their Lord. do they want ancient treatment or come face to face with Doom
56 We only send Messengers to give good news and warnings but the Disbelievers argue and disprove the Truth taking My Sign and warning as a joke
57 who is more wrong than one who is reminded of their Lords Revelations but rejects forgetting what their Hands had sent? We’ve veiled  their Hearts so they won’t understand and made ears deaf, so even if you call they won’t accept Guidance
58 your Lord is most Forgiving, Merciful. if He took them to task He would’ve punished them.  but as their Term is fixed  they cannot escape
59 such Townships! We’ve destroyed for their wrongdoings. with fixed destruction time
Section 9
60 Moses told his servant “i will not give up until i reach the junction of two  seas or travel endlessly”
61 but when they reached the junction, they had forgotten the Fish that had swam away
62 at length Moses said to his servant “bring the meal early as we are tired from traveling”
63 he replied “remember when we were on the rocks, i forget to tell you, Satan made me forget the Fish and it swam away marvelously into the Sea!”
64 Moses said “this is what we were after” so they retraced their footsteps
65 there they found one of Our Devotees (Khidr), on whom We had bestowed Mercy and taught from Our Own presence
66  Moses asked (Khidr) “may i follow you so you can teach me about the Truth that you were taught”
67 he replied “it’s very difficult to follow me”
68 “how can you be patience of things you don’t understand”
69 Moses said “Allah willing you will find me patience and not disobeying”
70 he said “if you follow me than don’t ask questions until i speak regarding it”
Section   10
71 when they both boarded the boat he made a hole in it. Moses asked “you did this to drown the people in it? strange!”
72 he said “didn’t i tell you, you won’t have patience”
73 Moses said “don’t rebuke me for forgetting or be hard”
74 than they walked on until they came upon a youth and he (Khidr) killed him. Moses said “you killed an innocent Man who hadn’t killed anyone that’s Evil”

75 he answered “didn’t i tell you, you won’t have patent?”
76 (Moses) replied “if i question again than don’t keep me because than you’ll have an excuse”
77 so they traveled until they came to a Township where they asked for food but were refused. than they saw a broken wall which he fixed, Moses said “if you wanted to you could’ve earned for fixing it”
78 the Man said “this is the parting between me and you but i will tell you regarding which you couldn’t keep patience”
79 “concerning making the boat unserviceable, it belonged to the poor workers on the river they needed it but their King was taking all good boats forcibly”
80 as for the youth, he was Evil, his Parents were Believers and he would’ve disgraced them by rebelling and disbelieving
81 “so we intended that the Lord will give them another better than him in purity and affections”
82 “and the wall i rebuilt belonged to Two (2) Orphans. beneath it was treasure from their father who was a good Man. so your Lord desired that upon maturity they get it out. this is not my doings. such are the interpretation that you couldn’t bear”
  Section 11
83 they ask you about Zul-Qarnain say” i will tell you something regarding him”
84 “We established his power on Earth and granted him access to all things”
85 so he followed a way
86 till he reached the place of the setting Sun and found it setting in murky Waters near some folks. We said “Zul-Qarnain you can punish these people or show kindness”
87 he said “whoever is wrong will be punished and then sent back to the Lord who will punish severely”
88 but the good Believers will have easy task and a superb reward by Our command
89 than he followed a road
90 until he came to a place where the Sun was rising over people on whom We had not provided any shade
91 and he went on. We knew what lay ahead of him
92 still he carried on
93 until he reached people living between Two  Mountains they could hardly understand a word
94 and they said to Zul-qarnain “Gog and Magog are doing mischief in the Land we will honor you if you can set a barrier between us?”
95 he said “God’s honor is better! but help me with your strength and i will put a strong barrier between you
96 “bring me Iron blocks” with it he filled the gaps of the Mountain, then said “blow” until he made it hot as Fire, then said “bring me molten Lead to pour over it”
97 after this they were powerless and couldn’t climb or dig out
98 he said “this is my Lord’s mercy: but when the Lord’s promise comes, all will turn to dust “
99 the Day We shall let them surge like waves one on another: and when the  Trumpet is blown  We shall gather them together
100 that Day We’ll present Hell plainly visible to the Disbelievers
101 who’s eyes had been veiled from My remembrance, nor could they bear to hear
Section  12
102. do the Disbelievers think they can take my Devotees as protectors besides Me? We’ve made Hell for the Disbeliever’s entertainment
103 say “shall We tell you whose deeds will give them great loss?”
104 ones whose efforts are wasted in this World but still think they are doing good
105 they are the Disbelievers, who deny the Revelations and the meeting with their Lord. useless are their works and We’ll not give them any importance on Judgment Day
106 Hell is the Rejecters reward who joke about My Revelation and My Messengers
107 as for Righteous Believers they have Garden of Paradise for entertainment
108 there they’ll live with no desire to leave
109 say “if the Sea was ink still the words of my Lord will not be exhaust even if you add another’
110 say “i am a Man like you. the inspiration came to me that your Lord is one Allah and whoever wants to meet Him, let him do good and not join partners to Him”

Sura 17 – The Children of Israel (Bani-Isra’il)

  • Revealed at:  Mecca
  • Sura: 17
  • Part: 15
  • Total verses: 111
In The Name Of Allah, The Most Beneficent And Lenient
Section 1
1 Glorified is He who took His Devotee on journey by night from the Sacred Mosque to the farthest one with blessed precincts, to show him Our Signs. for He hears and sees all
2 We gave Moses the Book to guide the Children of Israel saying “take none except Me as your Lord”
3 and O the descendants of those We carried with Noah the grateful!
4 and gave warning to the Children of Israel in the Book that “you will do mischief in the land twice and become tyrant and arrogant”
5 when Our first warning came. We sent Our most cruel slaves inside your homes to complete Our task
6 then gave you victory over them along with wealth, children and manpower
7 whether you do good or bad it’s for your own self. when Our second warning came We permitted your enemy to disfigure your face and enter the Mosque like before, destroying everything
8 your Lord might show mercy to you. but if you repeat, We will do the same, with Hell as prison for the Disbelievers
9 because this Quran guides justly, with news of a great reward for the good
10 and for those who disbelieve in the Hereafter, is a terrible doom
Section 2
11 still the impulsive Mankind  calls upon Allah for help in evil or  good
12 We’ve made two Signs, one for Night another for Day, than darkened the Sign of night and brightened the Sign of Day. for you to earn Allah’s rewards and to calculate the years. all are explained in details
13 We have tied on every person’s neck his  deeds, and We shall bring out his Book wide opened on Judgment Day
14 “read your Book and be a judge against yourself”
15 whoever does good or bad it is for own self, no one bears another’s burden. and We never punish until We send a Messenger
16 when We decide to destroy a population, We send definite orders, to the rich and when they disobey, We destroy them completely
17 many a generation We’ve destroyed after Noah. your Lord knows and views all the sins of His Devotee
18 whoever asks for fast life We grant to anyone We wish, but he shall burn in Hell disgraced and rejected
19 a Believer’s work is always appreciated, those who want and works towards the Hereafter
20 on both Our bounties are never forbidden
21 see how We prefer one more, just as they will be preferred more in the Hereafter
22 don’t join Allah with other God’s otherwise you’ll be disgraced and abandoned
Section 3
23 your Lord commands you to worship Him alone. do your duty to your parents, if one or both become old do not disrespect or shout but speak to them with honor
24 be kind and compassionate and  say “my Lord have mercy on them as they’ve brought me up when i was young”
25 your Lord knows what you really mean. He forgives the righteous who turn to Him repeatedly in  repentance
26 who gives to the kinsman and poor their due without becoming spendthrift
27 the spendthrifts are the Satan’s brother who is ungrateful to his Lord
28 and if you cannot give what Allah has ordered you, but are awaiting a mercy from your Lord then speak kindly to them
29 don’t be a miser or spendthrift, for both is blame worthy putting you in poverty
30 really your Lord increases or decrease provisions for whomever. He knows and sees all
Section 4
31 it is a great sin to kill your children in fear of poverty as We shall provide for you both
32 and an evil sin to have unlawful sex
33 and to take life which Allah has forbidden except for just cause. whoever is killed wrong fully We have given power to his Heir, but do not let him exceed the limit because he is helped
34 do not touch orphans property except to improve it. when the orphan attains maturity fulfill the obligations otherwise you will be questioned
35 and measure correctly with correct weight for that is better in final ending
36 do not follow things you do not know because all acts of hearing sight and heart will be questioned
37 do not walk with arrogance on Earth for you cannot break the Earth nor be tall as the mountains
38 all evils are hated in your Lord’s sight
39 this is part of the rule of wisdom your Lord revealed to you. do not set rivals of other Gods to Him lest you are blamed and thrown in Hell
40 has the Lord chosen for you sons and taken for himself Angels as daughters? how foolish you talk
Section 5
41 We have explained in the Quran various ways for them to take heed but it only increases their aversion
42 say “if there were other Gods along with Him” as they say then they would’ve certainly found a way to the Lord of the Throne
43 He is glorified and exalted high above what they say!
44 the Seven Heavens and Earth and all in it, glorifies His praise but you don’t understand. He is ever forbearing and often forgiving
45 when you recite the Quran We put an invisible veil between you and those who disbelieve the Hereafter
46 with coverings over their heart’s and deafness in their ears, with extreme dislike they  turn their backs and flee when the Lord is mentioned
47 We know what they hear when they listen to you but in secret consul they say “you are only following a madman!”
48 see their examples? they are astray and can never find a way
49 they say “when we are bones and in fragments how will we become a new Creation”
50 say “you can be stones or iron”
51 “or some created thing that you think is greater” then they will say “who shall bring us back?” say “He who created you first” then they will shake their heads and say “when?” say “perhaps soon!”
52 “on the Day when He calls you and you reply with His praise. you will think it’s only been a short while!”
Section 6
53  and say to My Devotees -speak good because Devil creates conflicts and disagreements between you for he is Mankind’s enemy
54 your Lord knows you, it’s His will if He forgives or punish you, for We have not sent you as their guardian
55 your Lord knows all Beings in the Heavens and Earth. We did  preferred some Prophets above others, to David We gave the Psalms
56 say “call whoever you want they have neither the power to remove your problem or shift it on someone else”
57 those whom they call upon, themselves desire means of access to the Lord hoping for mercy and fearing His punishment. a thing to fear!
58 there is not a population but We shall destroy or punish severely before Judgment Day. all is written in the Book
59 nothing stopped Us from sending the Ayat’s but people of old rejected it. We sent a she camelto the Thamud’s as a Sign and warning to be afraid of but they wronged her
60 and when We told you “your Lord has covered Mankind”. and the Vision We showed you was a trial for Mankind, including the cursed tree (Zaqqum tree) mentioned in the Quran as a warning, but it only increased their severe disobedience  transgression
Section 7
61 when We said to the Angles “bow down to Adam “all did except Satan who said “should i bow in front of man You made of Clay?”
62 “see  since You have honored him more than me, if You give me a break until Judgment Day, i will surely mislead most of his descendants except a few”
63 (Allah) said “go do it if you can, than whoever follows you I will fill Hell with  you all”
64 “lead whoever you can to destruction with your voice and use your cavalry and infantry against them or share with them wealth, children or make promises” for Satan only promises to deceive
65 “as for My Devotees, you will be powerless over them”  your Lord is sufficient as their protector
66 it is your Lord who makes the ship sail smoothly at sea and for you to seek His gifts and mercy
67 and when in problem at sea none hears your call except Him, but when He brings you to safety you forget becoming ungrateful!
68 do you then feel scared that the land may swallow you or a sand storm may engulf you with no protection?
69 or send you again at sea and send hurricane to drown you for being ungrateful, with none to help against Us
70 We have honored the Children of Adam and provided them with transport on land and sea and with provisions of good and pure things. and given them special favors above a greater part of Our creations
Section 8
71 One day, We shall assemble all Mankind with their Imams. those given Record in there right hand will read it and know it is not unjust
72 but those who were blind in this World, will stay blind in the Hereafter and far stray
73 their aim was to tempt you away from Our Revelations and change it then they would have befriended you
74 if We hadn’t made you strong, you would have inclined towards them
75 than We would’ve given you double (punishment) in this Life and also in Death with none to help you against Us
76 they wanted to scare and expel you from the land but than they would’ve stayed there for a little while
77 this is the way We dealt with Our previous Messengers and you will find no change
Section 9
78 establish regular Prayers at setting of the Sun till darkness. the early morning Quran recitation is always witnessed
79 pray in some parts of the night with the night prayer , your Lord may raise your status to a prestigious position
80 say “O my Lord let my entrance be good and also my exit  and honor me with an aid from Your presence
81 say “when truth is present, falsehood is bound to vanish”
82 the Quran We sent is healing and a mercy for the Believers and brings ruin to the evil
83 upon receiving Our favors people turns away, but when ill touches, he is in despair
84 say “everyone acts the way they want but Allah knows who is on right path”
Section 10
85 they ask you regarding the Spirit say “the Spirit is by my Lords command and only a little about it is explained to you”
86 if We willed We could take away what We’ve revealed to you, then there’ll be none you can appeal to sympathize against Us
87 it’s the kindness of your Lord that is great
88 say “if the whole of Mankind and Jinn join together still will not be able to produce a Quran like this”
89 all Signs are clear in the Quran still people give excuses not to believe
90 they say “we won’t believe until you make a spring gush forth from the Earth”
91 “or cause a river to spring from the midst of your garden of dates palm and vines”
92 “or cause pieces of sky to fall on us. or bring Allah and His Angles before us”
93 “or have a house of gold and mount a ladder to the sky still we won’t believe until you bring down a Book for us to read” say “glory to my Lord i am nothing but a man sent as Messenger?”
Section 11
94 what kept man from belief after receiving guidance was they said “Allah sent man as Messenger?”
95 say “if Angles walked in Peace on Earth We would’ve certainly sent from Heavens Angles as Messengers (Apostle)”
96 say “Allah is enough as witness between us. for He sees His Devotees”
97 whoever Allah guides is led aright but whom Allah leaves has no protector. We shall gather them on Judgment Day with their face blind deaf and dumb in Hell, every time the flame decreases We shall increase the fire
98 because they rejected Our Ayat’s saying “when we are bones and fragments will we really be created again?”
99 don’t they realize that Allah who created the Heavens and Earth has power to create the like of them? it is because of His ruling for the Term which He promised that the Disbelievers accept nothing except disbelief
100 say “if you were controlling the treasures of mercy of my Lord you would’ve kept without spending for Man is stingy”
Section 12
101 to Moses We gave Nine (9) clear Signs then ask the Children of Israel when he came to them and Pharaoh said “Moses magic has taken effect on you!”
102 Moses said “you know very well this is from the Lord of Heavens and Earth i think Pharaoh you are doomed”
103 so he tried to throw them out from the land but We drowned them all
104 We said to the Children of Israel “live safely in the land, but when, the last promise comes near you shall be gathered as a mixed crowd”
105 We’ve sent down with the Truth and in truth sent you as Messenger of good news and warning
106 a Quran sent in stages so that you can recite it at intervals to Mankind
107 “whether you believe or not those who know when they hear it, they fall prostrate on their faces in adoration”
108 saying “glory to our Lord who’s promise must be fulfilled”
109 their face down with tears and full of humbleness
110 say “call Allah or Rahman whatever name you call, His are the most beautiful names. and say your Prayer’s neither aloud nor silently but in middle tone of voice
111 say “Praise be to Allah who has no son or partner, neither does He need any protector from humiliation. Magnify Him for His Greatness and Glory”

67 the people of the City came rejoicing
68 Lut said “these are my guests. don’t disgrace me”
69 “fear Allah and don’t shame me”
70 they said “haven’t we forbidden you from people?”
71 he said “here are my daughters (marry) if you must”
72 by your Life they roamed blindly in their intoxications
73 than the awful blast swept over them at sunrise
74 and We turned it upside down and rained on them stones of baked clay
75 surely in these are Sign’s for those who see
76 and they were right on the high road
77 surely in these are Sign for the Believers
78 the inhabitant of the Woods were also Sinner
79 so We took Our revenge on them, they were both visibly on open highway
Section   6
80 the inhabitants of the Rocky tract also denied the Messenger
81 We sent them Our Sign’s. but they constantly rejected
82 they made homes cut out from the Mountains and felt secure
83 but the blast seized them by early Morning
84 all their doings were useless!
85 We didn’t create Heavens and Earth and all between them except with truth, the Hour is surely coming so overlook their sins and forgive
86 for your Lord is the Creator the all Knowing
87 We’ve bestowed on you the Seven (7) often repeated Verse and the glorious Quran
88 do not strain your eyes or grieve looking at what We gave to certain class. and lower your wings towards the Believers
89 and say “Lo! i am just a Warner”
90 as We’ve send down on the dividers
91 who have made the Quran into parts
92 by the Lord! each one We shall call to account
93 regarding their doings
94 so announce what you are commanded, and avoid the Idolaters
95 Lo! We will defend you from those who jeer
96 who join other Gods with Allah, soon they will know
97 We do know why your Heart grieves from their talks
98 celebrate your Lords praise and join those who bow in admiration
99 serve your Lord until comes the expected Hour

Sura 13 – The Thunder (Ar-Ra’d)

  • Revealed at:  Makkah
  • Sura:  13
  • Part: 13
  • Total Verses:  43
In The Name Of Allah, The Most Beneficent And Merciful
Section 1
1 Alif Lam Mim Ra these are Verses of the Book revealed by your Lord to you in Truth. but most of Mankind disbelieve
2 Allah is He, who raised the Heavens without support that you can see; then mounted the Throne. He arranged the Sun and Moon each run in Orbit for a term. He manages all affairs explaining the Signs in details, so that you have no doubt in meeting with your Lord
3 He it is who has spread the Earth, set firm Mountains and Rivers, with Fruits in Pairs of Two (2) of each kind. He made Night as a veil over Day.  a Sign’s for your thoughts
4 on Earth are neighboring tract and Gardens of vines, green crops and Palm Trees growing Two (2) or Three (3) out of single root or from only One, watered by same water yet some are tastier than others. a Signs for those who understand!
5 it makes you wonder at their strange saying “when we are dust will we really be created anew?” they disbelieve the Lord, and will have yokes round their neck and live in Fire
6 they ask you to hurry onto evil rather than good, even though they’ve seen forewarning punishments before them. still the Lord often forgives wrongdoings of Mankind. but He is strict in punishment too
7 the Disbelievers say “why isn’t a Sign sent to him by his Lord?” but than you are only a Warner and guide for all
Section 2
8 Allah knows what every Female bears, and how much the womb fail or exceeds. all is measured and in His sight
9 He  knows the unseen and seen: He is Great the Most High
10 It is all the same if you hide His speech or announce openly. or hide by Night or walk freely by Day
11 for each person there are Angels in succession, guarding the front and back by Allah’s command. Allah will not change peoples condition unless they change it themselves. and if He wishes to punish, none can stop or find besides Him any to protect
12 it is He who shows you Lightning, as fear and hope. and it is He who raises up the heavy Clouds
13 Thunder repeats His praise, so do the Angels in awe. He sends earsplitting thunder-bolt and strikes whomever. yet still Mankind disputes about Allah’s Might?
14 true Prayer is for Him alone. any others they pray to, hear them no more than if they were to stretch both hands for water to reach their mouth but cannot drink. for useless are Disbeliever’s Prayers
15 all Beings in Heavens and Earth bow down to Allah whether willing or unwilling, even their Shadows bow Morning and Evening
16 say “who is the Lord and sustainer of the Heavens and Earth” say “Allah!” say “than how come you choose others as protectors, ones who have no power to do good or harm even to themselves.  say; is a blindman equal to a seer? or is darkness equal to light? or have the partners they assign to Allah created similar Creations?” say “Allah is Creator of all, the One Almighty”
17 He sends Water from the Sky making channels flow according to its measure, while the surge sweeps away the foam that accumulates, just like when making metal ornament and utensils. the scum is passed away upon the banks while that which is of use for Mankind remains. thus Allah sets forth a parable
18 for those who answered Allah’s call is Paradise, but those who don’t, even if they give everything on Heavens or Earth as ransom or more, for them is terrible reckoning with Hell and misery as their Home
Section 3
19 is it then one who believes that what’s revealed to you from your Lord is the truth be like the one who is blind? only people with understanding pay heed
20 and those who fulfill the promise of Allah without breaking it
21 those who join together things Allah commanded to be joined and fear the Lord and the terrible judgment
22 those who patiently seek approval of their Lord, Pray regularly, spend secretly what We gave them and openly overcome evil with good. their end is good
23 they shall enter Eden (Paradise) with those among their fathers, partners and children who were good. the Angels will come to them from every Gate saying;
24 “Peace to you, for enduring patiently! excellent is the final Home”
25 but those who break Allah’s promise after accepting. break what He has commanded to be joined, do mischief on Earth, on them is a curse; and an evil Home
26 Allah increases or grants by strict measures, provisions to whom He wills. and they rejoice but Life of this World is a brief enjoyment compared to the Hereafter
Section 4
27 Disbelievers say “why doesn’t his Lord send him a Sign?” say “Allah sends astray whom He wills but guides those who repent to Him”
28 “Believers who find satisfaction in their Hearts in remembrance of Allah; for undoubtedly Hearts do find satisfaction in Allah’s remembrance”
29 “for the righteous Believers happiness and Paradise is their journeys end”
30 thus We’ve sent you to a community, where other communities had passed away before, so that you may recite the Revelations We’ve inspired in you. to the Disbelievers say “Allah is my Lord and there is no other God, and I put my trust and my return to Him “
31 if there was a Quran with which you could move Mountains or break the Earth to pieces or make the Dead speak (than this is it!). but Allah is the Supreme command. don’t the Disbelievers know if He so willed He could’ve guided all Mankind. disaster will not cease to strike the Disbelievers, or lay close to their homes until Allah’s threat arrives, for He never fails His promise
Section 5
32 Messengers were mocked before you, but still for Disbelievers I granted a break, but finally seized them. so how was My punishment!
33 isn’t it He who watches every Soul and knows what it earned? still they join partners to Allah. say “name them!” are you saying something He doesn’t know on Earth? or is it just show of words? nay! their plotting seems fair to Disbelievers that’s why they are kept away from the right path. for whoever Allah sends astray none can guide
34 for them there is punishment in this Life and worse in the Hereafter with no protector against Allah
35 similarity of the Paradise promised to the Pious! are Rivers flowing beneath with infinite Provisions, Shade and Reward for the good, but the Disbelievers end is the Fire
36 some rejoice with the Book We’ve revealed to you and some deny parts of it. say “I am commanded to serve only Allah not join partners to Him, I call Him and to Him is my return”
37 thus We’ve revealed it to be a Judgment of Authority in Arabic. if you were to follow their desires than you would’ve no protector nor defense against Allah
Section 6
38 We did send Messengers before you and made Wives and Children for them, it was not their duty to bring a Sign unless Allah permits. and for each matter there is a Decree
39 it’s up to Allah, if He blots out or confirms what He pleases, for He has the Mother of the Book (Al-Lauh-e-Mahfuz)
40 whether We show you part of what We’ve promised them or take your Soul before it, your duty is only to convey and Ours to take account
41 don’t they see how We gradually reduce their Land from its borders? when Allah Commands none can stop, for He is swift to take account
42 those before them devised plot. but Allah has the Master plan for He knows every Soul’s doings.  soon the Disbelievers will know who ends up Home!
43 the Disbelievers say “you are not a Messenger” say “Allah is enough as witness between you and me” and those whoever has knowledge of the Book

Sura 12 – Joseph (Yusuf)

  • Revealed at Makka
  • Sura : 12
  • Part : (12) / 13
  • Total Verses : 111
In The Name Of Allah, The Most Beneficent And Merciful
Section 1
1 Alif Lam Ra these are Verses of the wise Book
2 the Quran that We’ve sent down in Arabic for you to understand
3 and through this Quran We relate to you beautiful stories that you’ve never heard before
4 when Yusuf said to his father “father i see Eleven Stars, the Sun and Moon; all bowing down to me!”
5 he replied “my dear son don’t tell your brother’s this, in case they plot against you as Satan is Mankind’s open enemy”
6 “your Lord prefers you and will teach you to interpret Dreams, perfecting His Favors on you, and to the family of Jacob, like He did for your forefathers Abraham and Isaac. Allah is Wise, all-knowing”
Section 2
7 in Yusuf and his brothers are Sign’s for those interested
8 they said “Yusuf and his brother are our father’s favorite, even though we are many. really our father is odd”
9 “kill Yusuf or cast him out of the Land so that your father start’s favoring you, and later on you can become good”
10 one said “don’t kill him but throw him down a well so that some travelers may find him”
11 they said “father why don’t you trust us with Yusuf, aren’t we his well-wishers?”
12 “tomorrow let him come with us to play and enjoy. we’ll take care of him”
13 (Jacob) said “it saddens me to let him go with you. you may become careless and the wolf may devours him”
14 “how can a wolf eat him when we are a large group, shouldn’t we’ve been dead by now!”
15 so they took him with plans to throw him down the well. and We inspired in him; ‘you shall tell them their this deed when they won’t recognize you’
16 in the Evening they came crying to their father
17 they said “O! father, we went racing leaving Yusuf by our stuff and the wolf devoured him. you won’t believe but we tell the truth”
18 they stained his shirt with false blood. he said “no! i think you’ve invented this lie. i with patience seek Allah’s help”
19 a Caravan came, and they sent their Water carrier, and when he let his bucket down he exclaimed “good news here is a boy!” and they hid him as a treasure. Allah knowing it all
20 and sold him cheaply for a few Dirham’s attaching no value to him
Section 3
21 the Egyptian Man who bought him said to his Wife “let’s keep him we might adopt him as a Son, he may bring us luck”. this way We established Yusuf in the Land to teach him interpretations of events. Allah is the Leader of His affairs but most of Mankind know not
22 when Yusuf attained full manhood We gave him wisdom and knowledge. the way We reward the good
23 but she who’s house he was staying in, locked the doors and tried to seduce him saying “come!”  he said “Allah forbids this, and has treated me honorably. wrongdoers never succeed”
24 she desperately desired him and he would’ve reciprocated if he hadn’t seen his Lord’s Sign. and We turned wrong doings away from him as he was Our chosen Devotee
25 they raced each other to the door.  she tore off his shirt from behind and suddenly saw her husband there. she said “what should be the punishment to one who wished to do Evil to your family except prison or doom?”
26 (Yusuf) said “it is her who asked me to commit evil” a witness of her own folk said “if his shirt is torn from front than she is truthful and he’s liar!”
27 “but if his shirt’s torn from behind than she lies and he speaks the truth”
28 so when he saw (Yusuf’s) shirt torn from the back he said “it’s you women who is most deceitful”
29 “O Yusuf go away from this and you (my wife) ask forgiveness for your sins”
Section 4
30 the Women in the City said “Al-Aziz’s Wife is asking an evil act from her (Slave) boy. he must’ve obsessed her Heart with violent love we think she’s going astray”
31 when she heard their sly remarks she invited them and prepared a banquet and gave each one a knife and said “(Yusuf) come out to them!” when they saw him they all cut their hands exclaiming “Lord! this is no other but an Angel”
32 she said “it’s for him you blamed me! i asked from him an evil act but he wasn’t interested. now if he refuses, he shall be imprisoned and disgraced”
33 he said “my Lord! prison is acceptable to me than what they ask and if You don’t fend them off me i shall possibly incline towards them and be foolish”
34 his Lord heard his Prayers and ward them off him. for He hears and knows
35 and it seemed good to the Men to put him in prison for sometimes
Section 5
36 With him in prison were two (2) young Men. one said “i dreamt that i was pressing wine” while the other said “i dreamt that i was carrying bread on my head and Birds were eating from it”  can you interpret our dreams for we think you are good at it”
37 he said “before food arrives for you both i shall interpret your dream’s the way my Lord has taught me” and i stay away from Religion of the folks who disbelieve in Allah and the Hereafter
38 “i follow Religion of my father, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob’s, it isn’t for us to join partners to Allah. all this is Allah’s gifts to Mankind but most are unthankful”
39 “O my both cell-mates, are many disputing Lord’s better or Allah the one Almighty?”
40 those that you worship besides Him are just names given by you and your fathers without Allah’s authority and He has Commanded you to worship none but Him. that is the right Religion but most people know not
41 “my both cell-mates, one of you will pour wine for your Lord and the other will be crucified and Birds will eat from his head. this is the answer to your inquiry”
42 and he said to the one whom he knew would be released “mention me to your Lord” but Satan made him forget. thus he stayed in prison some years more
Section 6
43 the King said “i dreamt Seven (7) fat Cow’s eaten by Seven (7) lean ones, and Seven (7) green corn and Seven (7) dry ones. can any you Chief’s interpret my dream”
44 they said “mixed up dream!  we cannot interpret”
45 than the one released remembered and said “i will announce the interpretations, so let me go”
46 “O Yusuf” he said “ truthful one interpret this dream of Seven (7) fat cows eaten by Seven (7) lean ones and Seven green corns and others dry. so that i can go and tell the people”
47 he said “you shall sow for  Seven (7) Year’s as usual but what you reap leave it in the ear except a little for you to eat”
48 “after that will come Seven (7) hard Year’s when you shall eat what you’ve saved but save a little from that too”
49 “than comes another year with abundant rain and people will press (grapes and oil)”
Section 7
50 the King said “bring him to me” but when the news bearer came to him he said “go to your Lord and ask him regarding the affair of the ladies who cut their hands for i am sure he remembers their scheme”
51 (King) said “what happened when you tried to seduce innocent Yusuf?” the ladies said “by Allah we have nothing against him, and further Al Aziz’s Wife said “since the truth is out i confess it was i who tried seducing him, he who is truthful”
52 (Yusuf said)“this! for i wanted him to know that i have never been untrue to him in his absence, for Allah will never guide the disloyal”

  • Revealed at : Makka
  • Sura : 12
  • Part : 12 / (13 )
  • Total Verses : 111
In The Name Of Allah, The Most Beneficent And Merciful
53 “neither would i forgive myself, for we are prone to mistake’s unless the Lord forgives, for i am sure He is oft-Forgiving, Merciful
54 than the King said “bring him to me; he will serve me personally” after speaking said to him “be assured you are in my presence today honored and trusted”
55 (Yusuf) said “let me guard the countries Store Houses for i understand it”
56 so We gave Yusuf power in the Land to control it as, when and where he pleased. for We give Mercy to whomever and waste not reward of the good
57 but truly the reward of the Hereafter is best for the good dutiful Believers who fear Allah
Section  8
58 when Yusuf’s brother’s came. he recognised them but they didn’t
59 and when he had given them their supplies he said “bring to me your step-brother one from your father. don’t you see i give correct measure and hospitality?”
60 “and if you don’t than you won’t get any measure, nor come near me”
61 they said “we shall certainly try to win him from his father”
62 and (Yusuf) told his servants to put their money they traded with back into their bags. so that they find out upon reaching home and might return back
63 and when they reached they said “O’ father we won’t get any more grain if we don’t take our brother with us. so let him with us so that we get our measure, we’ll take good care of him”
64 he said “should i trust you with him after what you did to his brother? only Allah can take his care. He who is most Merciful to those who show Mercy”
65 when they opened their baggage they found their money returned. they exclaimed “father! what else do we need now we can get more food for our family; we’ll take care of our brother and bring back an extra Camel load of grains. this is too little!”
66 (Jacob) said “i don’t trust him with you all unless you swear by Allah that you’ll bring him back unless you yourselves are caught.” when they had promised he said “over all this we say Allah is our witness and guardian”
67 further he said “Son’s you all don’t enter from same Gate rather by different Gates. i can’t make you gain anything against Allah. it’s only with Allah’s command for i put my trust in Him like those who trust do”
68 and when they entered as told by their father which didn’t achieve them anything against Allah rather it satisfied Jacobs Soul for he was by Our orders knowledgeable; but most Mankind know not
Section 9
69 when they were in Yusuf’s presence. he invited his brother to stay with him. saying “i am your own brother so don’t worry about them”
70 finally when he had provided them provisions, he put the cup into his brothers bag then a crier shouted out “O you! in the caravan are surely thieves!”
71 they turned “what have you lost?”
72 “the Kings bowl is missing! whoever finds it, will be rewarded a Camel load full i promise”
73 they said “by Allah we’ve not come to create trouble in the Land nor are we thieves”
74 he said “than what would be the punishment if you’ve lied?”
75 they said “if found in whoever’s bag, should be held for punishment that’s how we punish wrongdoers”
76 so he started searching their baggage and finally brought it out from his brothers bag. thus We plan for Yusuf for he couldn’t have held his brother legally by the Kings law unless Allah willed. We bestow wisdom on whomever but overall knowledgeable is the all Knowing!”
77 they said “he steals like his brother who stole before” but Yusuf didn’t divulge secrets of his Heart. he said to himself “you are in bad situation and Allah knows the truth what you claim!”
78 they said “dignified one! he has an old father, you can keep one of us instead for we see you are good”
79 he said “that’s forbidden by Allah; we can only hold the thief. otherwise it would be wrong”
Section 10
80 when they realised it was useless. they discussed among themselves and the eldest said “didn’t your father took promise in Allah’s name and how before this how you failed concerning Yusuf? therefore i will not leave this Land until my father permits me or Allah commands; for He’s the best to command”
81 “go to your father and say ‘father! your Son committed a theft, we are its witness that’s all we know and we couldn’t stop the unseen”
82 “ask in the Town where we’ve been or the Caravan we came back in and you’ll know we speak the truth”
83 Jacob said “you’ve invented this story, i will wait. maybe Allah will bring them all back.  He the all knowing, Wise
84 turning away from them he said “how i grief for Yusuf! and his eyes turned white with sorrow and sadness”
85 they said “by Allah please stop remembering Yusuf otherwise you’ll become ill or die”
86 he said “i only complain to Allah regarding my sorrows. and what i know from Allah you don’t”
87 “O my Son’s! go and ask about Yusuf and his brother don’t despair of Allah’s Mercy no one loses hope of Allah’s Mercy except the Faithless”
88 than when they went back they said “O Chief! our family is distressed we’ve bought little capital so please give us full measure in charity for Allah rewards the charitable”
89 he said “now you realise how you dealt with Yusuf and his brother?”
90 “are you Yusuf?” he replied “i am Yusuf and this is my brother, `Allah has been kind to us. for he who is good and patient Allah will never make them lose their reward”
91 they said “Allah has really preferred you above us. and we’ve sinned”
92 he said “today don’t condemn yourselves, Allah may forgive you for He is Merciful to those who show Mercy”
93 “go take my shirt and put it on my father’s faces he will be able to see. and then all of you come together to me”
Section 11
94 when the caravan left Egypt their father said “i can smell Yusuf, don’t think me to be mad”
95 they said “you’ve gone senile!”
96 when the bearer of good news came, putting it (shirt) over his Face, immediately he regained his sight. he said “didn’t i say what i know from Allah you don’t!”
97 they said “father ask forgiveness for our Sins, for we were bad”
98 he said “i will ask forgiveness for you from my Lord, He the oft-Forgiving, Merciful”
99 when they met Yusuf, he settled his Parents in his own home saying enter Egypt safely if Allah pleases”
100 honoring his Parents so much that they fell prostrate before him. he said “O my father Allah fulfilled my old dream,, He brought me out of prison and brought you out of the dessert after Satan put enmity between us brothers. my Lord understands the mysteries of His own plans for He is all knowledgeable and Wise
101 “O my Lord You’ve given me power, taught me to interpret dreams and events. O You! Creator of Heavens and Earth, You are my protector (Wali) in this World and the Hereafter, make me die as Muslim and join me with the Righteous”
Section 12
102 such an incidence had occurred which We reveal to you, you weren’t there when they planned their plot
103 although most Mankind won’t believe however much you desire
104 nor do you ask reward for this; for it’s no less than a reminder and advice to the Worlds
105 how many Sign’s in the Heavens and Earth they pass by? still they turn away!
106 most do not believe in Allah, without joining Him with (Partners)
107 do they feel secure from the oncoming Wrath of Allah or the Hour coming suddenly upon them unaware?
108 say “this is my way i invite to Allah with clear proofs, i and whoever follows me. glory be to Allah, for i am not an Idolaters”
109 nor did We send before you, other than Men to whom We revealed, among the people of Township. don’t they travel the Earth and see the ending of those before them? but home of the Hereafter is for the Righteous who fear, won’t you then understand?
110 until the Messengers give up hope and think they’ve been treated as liars. that’s when Our help will reach them till they are safe. the sinners will never be able to evade Our punishment
111 there is in their stories instructions for the intelligent people, not an invented story but a confirmation of what happened before, a detailed guide and Mercy for the Believers

2 worship none but Allah “i am sent by Him to warn and give you good News”
3 “repent and ask forgiveness from your Lord that He may grant happiness  from His grace for a Term to those eligible. but those who reject i fear  for them  doom of a great Day”

  • Total Verse:  123
6 there is no Creatures living on Earth whose requirements are not dependent on Allah. He knows its dwelling and permanent resting place. all is recorded in a Clear Book  (Lauh-e-Mahfuz)
7 He created the Heavens and Earth in Six (6) Days and His Throne was on the Water, that He might try those whose deeds are best. but if you tell them “you shall be raised up after Death” the Disbelievers are sure to say “it’s Magic”
8 and if We delay the Doom until a said term they’ll say “what delays it?” but they’ll know the Day when it reaches them and surrounds their mockery
  Section   2
9 when We give mercy and then withdrew it, they become desperate and ungrateful
10 but after withdrawing We give Mercy, they say “i have no evil”. and become arrogant and  boastful
11 except ones who are patience doing good. for them is forgiveness and great Reward
12 in case you may feel uncomfortable to show part of what is Revealed, lest they may say “why doesn’t Angel or Treasure come down to him” remember you are only a Warner, Allah is the overall Guardian
13 or they say “this is invented” than ask them to bring (10) Ten Verses with any help other than Allah’s! if they are Truthful
14 “if they cannot then know this Revelation can only come from Allah for there is no God but Him. won’t you then become Muslims?”
15 whoever want the glittering life of this World they will get it in full measure
16 because for them, there is nothing in the Hereafter except Fire. vain are their desires with fruitless deeds
17 can they who rely on clear Sign’s from their Lord, and a Witness from Him recites it. and before it came the Book of Moses a Guidance and Mercy, they believe in it but those who reject, their place is in the Fire. this is the Truth from your Lord but then most of Mankind disbelieve
18 isn’t he wrong who invents a lie against Allah and when brought in front of their Lord their Witness say’s “they lied against their Lord. Allah’s curse on Wrongdoers”
19 “those who stop from Allah’s path and look for crookedness, are Disbelievers in the Hereafter”
20 such cannot escape from Earth neither have they any protector besides Allah, their penalty is twice as they were unwilling to listen or see
21 such have lost their own Souls and all that they’ve invented will vanish
22 they are great losers in the Hereafter
23 those who do good and are humble in front of their Lord will have home forever in Paradise
24 the likeness of both these groups are as; the blind and deaf, and the seer and hearer. won’t you than understand?
  Section   3
25 we sent Noah to his people he said “O people i have come here as a plain Warner”
26 “serve only Allah, otherwise a terrible Day awaits you”
27 the Disbelievers Chiefs said “we see you as ordinary Man like us, and only those rejected from us follow you with immature judgment. we don’t see you above us. in fact we think you are liars”
28 he said “my people see i have clear Sign and mercy from my Lord but you cannot comprehend it, can we force you to accept it since you hate it?”
29 “my people i don’t ask you for wealth, Allah will reward me. but i will not send away the Believers for they have to meet with their Lord,  and you, i realise are ignorant”
30 “my people who will save me from Allah if i drive them away. can’t you not think”
31 “i haven’t told you that i have Allah’s treasures or know the unseen or that i am an Angel. or said that Allah won’t be kind to ones whom your eyes hate. only Allah knows their Souls. otherwise i will be Wrongdoer”
32 they said “Noah you disagreed and extended the dispute, now show what you threaten us with if you are truthful”
33 he said “only Allah can show you and than you cannot escape from it”
34 “as much as i want it’s no use to advise you, if it be that Allah wants you astray, He is your Lord and to Him you return”
35 or do they say “he has made it up?”  tell them  “if i did it is my sin but i am free from your sins”
  Section   4
36 it was inspired to Noah “none of your people believe except those who had already believed so don’t despair over their deeds”
37 “construct a Ship (Ark) under Our eyes and inspiration and don’t speak again about the Sinners for they are about to drown”
38 so he started constructing a Ship (Ark). the chiefs made fun of him as they passed by. and he replied “if you mock us now we can soon do likewise”
39 “for soon you shall know on whom lasting shameful doom falls”
40 finally by Our command the oven erupted and We said “board with pairs; Two (2) of each kind along with your family, except those on whom the word has already gone forth and the Believers; and none believed him except few
41 He said “board it in Allah’s name, whether it rests or moves, for the Lord is oft-Forgiving, Merciful”
42 so it floated with them on waves like mountains and Noah called his Son who was apart “join me! don’t be with the Disbelievers”
43 his Son replied “i will climb Mountain and escape from the water” he replied “today none can escape from Allah’s Commandment” except he who has His mercy and a huge wave came between them and drowned him
44 it was said “O Earth! absorb the Water and Sky stop! (Rain)” the water subsided, fulfilling the Command. it (Ark) rested on Mount Judi and it was said “away with the Sinners”
45 Noah called the Lord begging “my Lord my Son is my family and Your promise is true. You are a fair Judge”
46 He replied “Noah he is not your family he was evil so do not ask for what you don’t know. I warn you don’t be  like the ignorant”
47 Noah said “O my Lord i seek refuge in you for asking for things i don’t know. if you don’t forgive me and have Mercy i will be lost”
48 it was said “Noah disembark with Peace and blessings from Us. for a long time there will be enjoyment for the people than from Us a disaster
49 these are some of the stories We reveal to you which no one knows, be patient. the end is for those who are Pious
 Section   5
50 sent to A’ad people, was Hud their brother who said “my people worship Allah you have no other God but He. you only but  invent”
51 “my people i am not asking you for reward, that  will come from my Creator don’t you understand ”
52 “my people ask forgiveness and repent. He will give abundant Rain and power to your strength. do not turn back to sin”
53 they said “Hud you have no proof, we won’t leave our Gods  on your words, we do not  believe you”
54 “we think that some of our God’s has possessed you with evil” he replied “i call Allah to be my witness and bear witness, that i am free from what you join partners”
55 “others with Him! so you all scheme, without giving me a break”
56 “i trust Allah, mine and your Lord. He can grasp any moving Creature from their Forefront!
57 “even though you turn away, my Job is to convey the Message. He will put in your place other people, and you cannot do a thing about it. He’s overall Guardian”
58 when Our Command  came into force, we saved Hud and the Believers from terrible Doom
59 these were the A’ad’s, who rejected Signs from their Lord and disobeyed His Messenger. and followed the Sinners
60 with a curse following them for rejecting, A’ad disbelieved their lord;  so ‘away with A’ad, people of Hud’
  Section   6
61 and sent to Thamud their brother Salih, he said “O my people worship Allah you have no God but Him. He brought you forth from Earth and established you. ask repentance  for my Lord will always Respond”
62 they said “Salih, you are one of us, still you asked us not to follow what our fathers worshiped? we do doubt your words”
63 he said “just think if this is a clear proof from Allah with His Mercy, who will than save me from Him if i disobeyed? what a loss you’ll put me into”
64 “O my people this she Camel is a Sign for you from Allah. let her graze freely on Earth and do not harm her lest a harm seizes you”
65 but they killed her, so He said “enjoy for Three (3) Days at home this is a threat that cannot be ignored!”
66 upon issuance of Our Command. with Our mercy We saved Salih and those who believed with him from humiliation of that Day, for your Lord is all-Mighty, Powerful
67 a huge Blast came over those Wrongdoers and they lay flat in their homes
68 as if they had never lived there. for Thamud’s rejected their Lord;  “away with Thamud”
Section   7
69 Our Messenger’s came to Abraham with greeting saying “Peace!” he replied “Peace” and hurriedly brought for them a roasted calf
70 but when their hands didn’t touch the foods he became suspicious with fear from them. they said “don’t fear us we’ve been sent against people of Lut”
71 his Wife standing by laughed when We gave her good news of Isaac and then Jacob”
72 she said “how can i bear a child for i am an old Woman and my husband an old Man. but that would be wonderful!”
73 they said “you wonder at Allah’s command? His blessings is upon the people of this household, for He’s all-Praiseworthy, Glorified”
74 with his fears reduced and with the good news Abraham  started to plead to Us for the people of Lut
75 for Abraham was tolerant, humble and repentant towards Allah
76 “Abraham don’t ask this as Our Commandment has already been issued and disaster cannot be stopped!”
77 when our Messenger came to Lut he was sad and powerless and said “today is a Day of Distress”
78 his people came rushing towards him. they were used to commit crimes (sodomy). he said “my people, marry my Daughters, fear Allah don’t shame me in front of my guests! isn’t there any upright Man?”
79 they replied “we don’t need your Daughters, you know what we want”
80  he said “wish i had power to stop you or had any powerful support”
81  “O Lut! we are Messengers from your Lord! they cannot reach you! so travel with your family while Night remains and don’t look back leave your Wife to her will and whatever happens to them will happen to her. the appointed time is Morning. isn’t Morning near!”
82 on the onset of Our Commandment. We turned (the Cities) upsides down and rained on them layers after layers of hard baked Brimstones
83 marked from your Lord, for destruction is never far from  Sinners
  Section   8
84 sent to the people of Madyan, was their brother Shu’aib, he said “O my people worship Allah you have no other God but Him. don’t cheat on Weights and Measure i see you wealthy but i worry for you from the Day that will surround you”
85 O my people give correct measure what is due to them. avoid corruptions  and mischief in the Land
86 “what Allah leaves for you is best if you believe. and i am not you’re Guardian”
87 they said “Shu’aib! does your Prayer commands us to give up what our fathers worshiped or that we give up what we do with our property? oh how right you are!
88 “my people see i have clear Sign’s from Allah who takes good care of me. i am not against you but want your betterment, and your success can only come from Allah in Him i trust and repent”
89 “O my people don’t let my break-up from you cause you to sin, in case you have the same fate like the people of Noah, Hud, Salih and Lut who are not far behind”
90 ask forgiveness and Repentance from my Lord for He is most-Merciful, Kind
91 they said “O Shu’aib we do not understand what you say, you are weak if it wasn’t for your family, we would’ve stoned you for you are powerless against us”
92 he said “is my family more important than Allah that you’ve cast Him behind. but my Lord covers you from all sides”
93 “do whatever you want while i do what i like. soon disaster will strike the lairs. lets both see”
94 on the start of Our command and with Our Mercy we saved Shu’aib and those who believed, and a mighty Blast laid the Wrongdoers flat in their homes
95 as if they’d never lived there. “away with Madyan and away with Thamud’s”
  Section   9
96 and We sent Moses with Our Revelations and Authority
97 to Pharaoh and his Chiefs; but they followed Pharaoh’s evil commands
98 he will go ahead before his people into the Fire on Judgment Day. all led to a miserable place
99 followed by Our curse, an evil gift, on Judgment Day
100 these are some of the stories of the Communities. you can  see some and some no longer exists
101 We did not wrong them but they wronged themselves. when  Our Command came, their god’s couldn’t give them anything except ruin
102 the Lords grasp is very painful, if in the middle a Township commits  crime, His punishment is  terrible
103 this lesson is for those who fear punishment of the Hereafter, when Mankind will be gathered together on a Day that’s to be witnessed
104 We won’t delay it, it has a fixed Term
105 on that Day none can speak except with His permission, with some being miserable and some happy
106 and in the Fire with sighs and sobs will be the miserable ones
107 living there for as long as Heavens and Earth can bear them. or whatever Allah has planned
108 in the Gardens will be the happy ones living there for as long as Heavens and Earth can bear them. or whatever Allah has planned. a lasting gift
109 don’t doubt regarding these people what they or their fathers worshiped, for without fail they shall get their due
  Section   10
110 indeed We gave the Book to Moses but differences arose within them. if the Lord hadn’t given His word earlier, the matter would’ve been settled between them. they are in doubt concerning it
111 to each, you’re Lord will pay back in full. for their deeds for He knows their doings
112 so stand firm and straight as commanded along with those with you and do not sin. for He Sees
113 don’t lean towards wrong for the Fire will get you, and none can protect or help you except Allah
114 Pray regularly at Two (2) ends of the Day and part of the Night. you’re Good deeds will cancel your Bad deeds. a Reminder to think about
115 be tolerant, for Allah doesn’t waste good-doers Rewards
116 if only there had been people before you with some goodness, to warn others from corruptions on Earth as did the few whom We saved. but the wrongdoers follow enjoyment of good things in Life and still sin
117 your Lord will not destroy Township if the people were good
118 if your Lord wanted He would’ve made the Human race one Nation, still their dispute won’t stop
119 except on whom your Lord has Mercy, this is why He created them. your Lords word is final when He says “I shall fill Hell with Jinn’s and Mankind”
120 all the stories we tell you of the Messengers to make your Heart strong. with Truth and Warning and a Reminder for Believers
121 say to the Disbelievers “act however you want, we are too”
122 “you wait! so are  We”
123 to Allah belongs the Secrets of Heavens and Earth, all is referred back to Him, so worship and trust Him. regarding your action’s He isn’t Unaware

Sura 10 – Jonah (Younus)

  • Revealed at:  Makka
  • Sura:  10
  • Part: 11
  • Total Verses: 109
In The Name Of Allah, The Most Beneficent And Merciful
Section 1
1 Alif Lam Ra  these are Verses from  the Book of Wisdom
2 Mankind, don’t they wonder how We’ve sent inspiration to a Man from amongst them. saying; warn Mankind and convey good news of sure hold with their Lord. Disbeliever’s say “he’s a Magician?”
3 Allah created Heavens and Earth in Six (6) Days and then rose over the Throne, controlling and governing all things. none can interfere except by His leave. Allah! you’re Lord! won’t you than remember
4 to Him is your return. Allah’s promise is true. He who creates and repeats Creations, rewards the Righteous justly. His Rejecters will have nothing but boiling water to drink with terrible punishments
5 He who made the Sun a dazzling magnificence and Moon a Light with measured stages so that you can calculate the Year and Time. He explains in details His Sign for intelligent people
6 in alternating of Night and Day and in all Creations are His Sign for God-fearing people
7 those who feel that they will not meet Us and are pleased with their present worldly  Life and are unmindful
8 Fire will be their home!
9 Believers who do good Allah will guide them through their faith. beneath them Rivers flow in Gardens of Bliss ( Naeem )
10 and their cry will be “glory to you O’ Allah” and “Peace” and lastly “praise be to Allah Lord of the Worlds!”
Section 2
11 if Allah would hurry to give people their ills as fast as they’d want Him to hurry their good, then their respite would be quickly decided. but We leave those who don’t believe in their meeting with Us to wander blindly in their defiance.
12 when in trouble a person cries to Allah lying on their sides, standing or sitting. but when We solve their problem, they forget Us, as if they didn’t cry for help. is it fair?
13 generations before you We’ve destroyed because they disbelieved their Messenger who came with clear Signs. that’s how We retaliate with the  Sinners
14 after them to test you We made you responsible for the Land
15 when Our Verses are recited those who don’t believe in meeting Us say “bring us another Quran or change this”. tell them “it’s not up to me i only follow what’s inspired in me otherwise i will faces punishment on the Great Day”
16 say “if Allah wanted i wouldn’t have recited it to you. i have lived among you a lifetime. don’t you understand”
17 who is more wrong than one who lies concerning Allah.  Sinners will never prosper
18 they worship besides Allah. that which cannot harm nor benefit them. they say “these are our intercessor” say  “can you tell Allah something new concerning Heavens and Earth”  glorified is He far above the Partner’s they join Him with
19 Mankind was one Community, but then they differed.  if it hadn’t been for a word given by your Lord their differences would have been settled
20 they say “why he doesn’t receive a Sign from his Lord” say “only Allah knows the unseen  let’s wait, i am waiting too”
Section   3
21 when We give Mercy to Mankind after problem they start planning against Our Sign’s say “Allah is swifter in planning”. Our Messenger’s are Recording all your plots”
22 it is He who enables you to travel through Land and on Ships. they sail in favorable wind but when in stormy weather with waves encircling them they ask Allah; “if You save us we will be thankful”
23 but when in safety they start defying. O Mankind! this is going against your own Souls enjoy now, but you’ll know when you return to Us
24 this present Life is like Water We send from the Sky to produces food for people and cattle, until the Earth is beautified.  people think they own it. but Our one command by Day or Night can finish it as if there was nothing. a Sign for the thinker
25 but Allah invites you to the House of Peace and guides whom He will on the right path
26 those who do good their Face will not be covered in dust nor shame for their home forever is in Paradise
27 the reward for evil is Evil. they won’t have Allah’s backing with their Face covered in pieces of darkness. with home forever in the Fire
28 one Day We shall gather them and ask the ones who associated Us with Partner’s, “stop at your place with those Partners” than We shall separate them and these partner’s will say “it wasn’t us that you worshiped”
29 “Allah is witness!  we didn’t know you worshiped us”
30 every Soul will know what they’ve sent before when they return to Allah their Lord. their lies will disappear  from them
Section   4
31 say “who provides you from the Sky and Earth, and gives power to Hearing and Sight, who brings out Living from the Dead and Dead from the Living and manage all affairs”  they’ll say “Allah! than won’t you fear”
32 such is Allah your Lord. after the Truth what else is there except False? then why you are reluctant?
33 thus your Lord’s word proved true against the rebels: that they believe not
34 say “can your ‘Partners’ originate Creation and repeat it. say “it’s only Allah who can, than why are you misled”
35 say “can your ‘Partners’ give Guidance” say “Allah leads to Truth. isn’t He who gives Guidance more deserving than he who doesn’t find Guidance and has to be guided. how do you judge?”
36 but most follow their useless desires which cannot take place of the Truth. Allah knows their doings
37 this Quran cannot be produced by anyone other than Allah! it’s the final confirmation and full explanation of the previous Books. no doubt it is from the Lord of the Worlds!
38 or do they say “he forged it” say “than bring a Sura like it and call anyone besides Allah if you are truthful!”
39 nay! they call it fake because they cannot understand. like those before them, than see the ending of the wrongdoers
40 some believe and some doubt. your Lord knows the mischief makers
Section   5
41 if they call it false say “for me are my deeds for you yours. you are not responsible for my deeds and i am not responsible for yours”
42 some listen to you but can you make the deaf hear even though they don’t grasp it
43 some do look at you but can you guide the blind even though they cannot see
44 Allah is not unjust to Mankind in anyway but Mankind wrongs themselves
45 the Day when He shall gather them together. it will seem like only an Hour of a Day has passed, they will recognise each other but ruined will be ones who denied meeting with Allah and refused guidance
46 even if We show you part of Our promise or cause you to die before that. in any case their return is to Us. Allah is witness of their doings
47 every Community has a Messenger. and in front of the Messenger the matter will be fairly judged without mistake
48 they say “truly! when will this promise be?”
49 say “i have no power for loss or gain except as Allah wills: every Community there is a term appointed and when the time comes non can delay an Hour or advance it”
50 say “do you see the doom coming by Night or Day. which part the Sinners would like to speed up”
51 “would you than believe when it befalls on you. that you wanted to rush it”
52 “finally it will be said to the wrongdoers ‘taste your punishment forever. isn’t your repayment anything except what you’ve earned? ”
53 they ask you “is this true?” say “yes by Lord non can escape it”
Section   6
54 all those who Sinned will want to give all they have as ransom, and ask for forgiveness upon seeing the Doom  but they’ll be justly Judged without doubt
55 doesn’t all in the Heavens and Earth belong to Allah? His promise is true but most don’t understand
56 He who gives Life and takes it away and to Him you’ll return
57 Mankind! Allah has given good advice to fix your ailing Heart. a Guidance and Mercy for the Believers
58 say  “it is better to enjoy Allah’s mercy and gifts rather than hoard it”
59 say “have you noticed what Allah has sent down, and how you’ve made certain things lawful or unlawful” say “did Allah permit you this or do you invent a lie against Him?”
60 what do they think who invent lie against Allah regarding Judgment Day? still Allah gives to Mankind but most are ungrateful
Section 7
61 whatever you do or which part of Quran you recite, every deed We witness, nothing is hidden from your Lord a weight of an Atom on Earth or Heavens, big or small all is recorded in a clear Record. (Kitab-al Mobeen)
62 without doubt Allah’s friends shall not fear or grieve
63 nor the Believers who stay away from evil
64 good news for them in Life of this World and the Hereafter. in Allah’s word – a Supreme Achievement!
65 do not let their talks upset you. all power belongs to Allah. He the all-Hearer, Knower
66 everything in Heavens and Earth belongs to Allah. whoever worship others are following  a delusion and lies
67 He who’s has made Night for rest and Day to make things visible. in these are Sign’s for people who heed
68 they say “Allah has a Son” Glory be! He is self-sufficient owner of all in the Heavens and Earth! what right have you to say things you don’t know!
69 say “those who lie against Allah will never succeed”
70 only short enjoyment in this World, than they return to Us where Disbelievers will taste severest punishment
Section 8
71 tell them the story of Noah when he said to his people “my people if you feel offended by my reminding you regarding Allah’s Sign which i trust. decide than whatever you plan with your Partners, and hesitate not to sentence  me”
72 “if you turn away i ask no reward from you. my reward is from Allah and i am Commanded to be a Muslim”
73 but they rejected him. so We saved him and his people in the Ship (Ark). and repeatedly made them Rulers. We drowned the Disbelievers. so see their ending
74 later We sent other Messengers with clear Signs but they rejected them like before. so We sealed the Hearts of Transgressors
75 after them We sent Moses and Aaron with Our Sign to Pharaoh and his Chiefs but the arrogant sinful people rejected them too
76 when they got the Truth they said “it’s clear Magic”
77 Moses said “you say this regarding the Truth after it has reached you. is this Magic? but then  Magicians never prosper”
78 they said “have you come to turn us away from the followings of our forefathers so that you and your brother achieve greatness in the Land! we won’t believe you”
79 Pharaoh said “call all great Magicians”
80 when the Magician’s arrived Moses said “cast what you will”
81 when the Magicians did cast Moses said “what you bring is Magic! and Allah does not back Evildoers work”
82 “Allah justifies Truth by His words much to the hatred of Wrongdoers”
Section 9
83 none believed in Moses except some Children. for fear of Pharaoh and his Chiefs who were mighty on Earth and sinister breaking all bounds
84 Moses said “my people if you believe in Allah than put your trust in Him”
85 they said “in Allah we trust please don’t make us a trial for the tyrant”
86 “and save us with your Mercy from the  disbelieving folks”
87 We inspired this Message to Moses and his brother “provide homes for your people in Egypt, make your homes as place of Worship and Pray. also give Believers the good news”
88 Moses prayed “my Lord You’ve provided Pharaoh with so much wealth and splendor that my people get misled by them. O Lord! destroy their wealth and make their Heart hard so that they won’t believe until they see painful Doom”
89 Allah replied “your Prayers are accepted be firm and straight. don’t follow  the ignorant”
90 We took the Children of Israel across the Sea with the tyrant Pharaoh and his Men following. but when the flood engulfed them Pharaoh said “i believe there is no God but He whom the Children of Israel believe and i am a Muslim”
91 “ah! now you believe, but sometimes back you were rebellious and evil”
92 “this Day We shall save you in your body as a warning for those after you. still many are heedless of Our Sign!”
Section 10
93 to the Children of Israel We gave beautiful homes with best things. but after receiving knowledge they differed. your Lord  will judge on Judgment Day in what they differed in
94 if you doubt then ask the people who have read the previous Books? this is the Truth from your Lord
95 and don’t be one of them who doubt Allah’s Sign for you’ll be a loser
96 to them even if the Lord’s word is verified, they still won’t believe
97 even if all Sign’s were brought to them until they themselves see the Doom
98 if only there was a Township that believed, and benefited from it. like the people of Jonah and for them we removed humiliation from their Life and gave them comfort for a while
99 if it was Lord’s will then all on Earth would be Believers. so won’t you than, compel Mankind to believe!
100 none can believe unless Allah wills. His wrath will be on the heedless
101 say – all whatever in the Heaven’s and Earth; still no Sign’s nor warnings can benefit those who Disbelieve
102 can they expect anything like what happened in the past; say “wait! for i am waiting too”
103 finally We save our Messengers and the Believers. thus it’s befitting for Us to save those who believe
Section 11
104 say “O Mankind! if you doubt my Religion know that i will not worship what you worship besides Allah. i worship Allah who will take your Soul’s and has Commanded me to be a Believer”
105 “and face entirely towards upright Religion and don’t be of those who join Partners”
106 “do not call any other, except Allah. none can give benefit or loss. for if you do you’ll be Wrongdoers”
107 if Allah touches you with hurt none can remove it but Him. and none can stop any good going to you if He favors you or any Devotees. for He’s oft-Forgiving, Merciful
108 say “O Mankind since Truth has reached you from your Lord. those who receive Guidance benefits their own Souls whoever don’t are losers. and i am not here to check on you”
109 follow the Revelations inspired in you, be patient until Allah decides. for He’s the best Decision maker
